Adding a Co-Teacher to Access your Class – Knowledgehook

If your class is upgraded to ClassOS Pro, you have the ability to share access to your classroom with other educators, math support, or administrators. The Co-Teacher being added will have full access to the class to view student information, add or remove students from the class, assign Missions, run GameShows and view Reports.

To access the Co-Teacher feature, you will find it in your Class Settings.

Scroll down to the bottom of your Class Settings page to the area labeled Teachers. This will show a list of Teachers currently accessing the class.

Click on the Add Teacher button to add a new teacher to your class. You must know the exact email address that they have registered their account under, and they must have a Teacher account to be added as a Co-Teacher.

Once added, the teacher's email address will appear under your list of Teachers. You have the ability to remove the Co-Teacher from the class by clicking on the X next to their email address.

Your class will now appear inside the Co-Teacher's Knowledgehook account like their own classes on their class dashboard.

Co-Teacher Limitations

Co-Teachers added to your class will have full access to the class like you do with some minor limitations. They will be able to add or remove students, assign Missions, run GameShows, view Reports, run Growth Reports, Focus Reports and Impact Challenges and view all student information. Co-Teachers can NOT add other Co-Teachers to your class, archive the class, or remove you from the class. Co-Teachers will also not receive any emails pertaining to the information of your class like you do as the class owner, like Struggle Areas, Password Reset requests, or Mission Reports.

Custom activities that you've created and have stored are not visible to the Co-Teacher unless you send them a Share Link to the activity. Custom Activity Folders and Bookmarks are unique to the account, so your CoTeacher will only have access to their own Custom Activities and Bookmarks and will not automatically share with you as well. Troubleshooting Common Issues:

I'd like to add a Co-Teacher that already has a Knowledgehook account, but the email they gave me says there is no account with that email address!

A lot teachers across many districts may have multiple email addresses assigned to them which all flow into their central email, but Knowledgehook is very specific to the email address they signed up with. Please have your Co-Teacher double check exactly what email address is on their account in their account settings when they are logged in. That will be the email you need to add.

I added a Co-Teacher to my class and their email address is listed under Teachers, but they've said they don't see my class in their account!

As Knowledgehook accounts are specific to the email address provided while registering, teachers may end up having multiple Knowledgehook accounts over time if they have multiple email addresses. They may not currently be logged in to the exact account with the email address they gave you that you've added as a Co-Teacher. Please have them check in their account settings what the exact email address is on the account they are logged in to. It may differ from the email address you added.
