How Students Join or Login to Knowledgehook in a Manually Created Class

You can create accounts for your students or have them register themselves. For self-registration and logging in, here's what you need to know.

All students enter from the same page at joinkh.com using your Class Code. This applies to all situations including:

1. Joining a live GameShow 
2. Logging in to do a Mission
3. Creating a new student account for your class
4. Logging into their existing student account

Where do I find my Class Code?

As a teacher, go into the class you have created and you will see your class code on the students page of your dashboard. This code is unique to your class and cannot be changed.

How does student login work?

Tell your students go to joinkh.com and give them the Class Code:

After entering the Class Code, students will see an option to login using their username and password.

If student accounts have already been created, then students can enter their username and password to login. If not, they can click on "Sign up" link to create a new account when you have registrations enabled for your class. You can Enable or Disable Registrations from your Class Settings page. 

What if they forget the Class Code?

You should remind students of the Class Code and their login credentials and have them write it down in their notebooks so they can more easily log in from home.

We suggest printing out our new student login cards that has all the information that the student needs to login themselves.

What if they forget the web address?

If students forget the web address, joinkh.com, all other entry points lead them back.

The general login page also has a Students enter button that brings them to the Class Code page.

Student Removed From Class

A student can remove themselves from a classroom by deleting their own account. To prevent this from happening by accident, they had to go through two confirmations in their account to self delete.  If they do they self delete, all data, which makes the account is unrecoverable as all information is wiped from the account. There is nothing we can to to recover the students account as it is hard delete by the owner of the account and thus purged from the system for user privacy.
