Garden Missions lets students grow virtual plants by completing Missions. Once fully grown, plants are added to a shared Classroom Garden, which generates game rewards over time based on the number and type of plants contributed.

What Happens When a Garden Mission Passes its Due Date?
Students can no longer continue working on that Mission (and it is no longer visible in the student UI). This change was made so teachers receive consistent, timely progress data before moving on to new topics and allow them to intervene to help struggling students. We found that if Missions are available indefinitely, only a fraction of students complete them, or move on to newly-assigned ones.
If the teacher extends the due date
The Mission reappears only for students who hadn’t finished. They can still complete it to get their Plant into the Classroom Garden, but no new celebration is triggered.
A Garden Mission wraps up and Plants are transferred
When a Garden Mission’s due date arrives, or all assigned students have completed it, the Garden Mission is removed from the students’ Main page. Plants of the completed Garden Mission are transferred to the Classroom Garden through a Classroom Celebration.
Students who do not complete the Garden Mission will not receive rewards or have their plants added to the Classroom Garden. The Mission disappears and can’t be opened again
