Before You Play Your First GameShow

Create a class before you play a GameShow.
Enter the class you want to use.
Have students use a mobile device to join with the class code shown on your screen.

What You Need

A Knowledgehook class.
An activity to use for the GameShow.
Student devices with access to khmath.com/join.
The unique class code displayed in the GameShow waiting room.

How to Play Your First GameShow

Step 1: Open your class

Enter the class you want to use for the GameShow.

Step 2: Open Activities

Select Activities from the top menu to view the available activities.

Step 3: Choose an activity

Hover over an activity to preview its questions, or select View for a more detailed view.

Step 4: Start the GameShow

When you are ready, select Play GameShow.

Step 5: Invite students

On the Game Settings page, select Invite Students to open the waiting room.

Step 6: Have students join

Students should use their mobile devices to go to khmath.com/join and enter the unique class code shown on your screen.

Step 7: Confirm student accounts

After entering the class code, students can select their account if they are already registered or create a new account. Their names will appear in the Students Joined section on your teacher screen.

Step 8: Begin the GameShow

When the students are ready, select Play.

What Students Experience

The questions play in sequence.
When you advance to the next question on the teacher side, the new question appears on student devices immediately.
After students submit their answers, you will see the percentage of students who selected each answer.

Capture Student Thinking

If Capture Student Thinking is turned on for a question, students can upload a photo of their written solution. Select the solution icon to view the uploaded solutions and discuss different approaches with the class.

Tips and Warnings
