Before You Manage ClassOS Pro Access
Your ClassOS Pro teacher subscription allows a set number of active classes to use ClassOS Pro features, including teacher supports and enhanced reporting.
If your subscription includes 1 Active Class, only one class can use ClassOS Pro features at a time.
To move ClassOS Pro access from last year’s class to a new class, downgrade the old class first, then upgrade the new class.
How to Downgrade a ClassOS Pro Class
Step 1: Go to the Classes page
Open the Classes page in Knowledgehook.
Step 2: Select the ClassOS Pro class to downgrade
Find the class to downgrade and click the ClassOS Pro icon.
Alternatively, in the hamburger menu, click Downgrade to Free.
Step 3: Downgrade to Free
Confirm downgrade in the popup modal.
On success, you receive a feedback toast message.
How to Upgrade Another Class
Step 1: Upgrade the new class
On the Classes page, click Upgrade on the class you want to use with ClassOS Pro.
Step 2: Confirm there is room in your subscription
After downgrading a ClassOS Pro class, your subscription has an available active class slot.
On success, the class upgrades to ClassOS Pro
Using a ClassOS Pro Code
If your school district gave you a ClassOS Pro code, you can use the code instead of a teacher subscription.
ClassOS Pro classes using a code do not occupy room in your teacher subscription.
When you click Upgrade, select Use a Code and enter the code provided by your school district.
Tips and Warnings
💡 Pro Tip: Downgrade classes you no longer actively teach so your ClassOS Pro subscription can be used with your current class.
⚠️ Warning: Downgrading a class removes ClassOS Pro access from that class, but it does not delete the class or its reports.
⚠️ Warning: If your active class limit is full, you must downgrade an existing ClassOS Pro class before upgrading another class through your subscription.
FAQs / Troubleshooting
Q: What happens when I downgrade a ClassOS Pro class?
A: The class becomes a Free Class. You can still use free features such as GameShows and access your reports.
Q: Why can't I downgrade my ClassOS Pro class?
A: If your class uses a Premium Code, it doesn't count toward your subscription's Active Classes limit and cannot be downgraded.
Q: Can I move ClassOS Pro access to a new class?
A: Yes. Downgrade the old class first, then click Upgrade on the new class.
Q: Does a ClassOS Pro code use one of my subscription’s active class slots?
A: No. Classes upgraded with a ClassOS Pro code do not occupy room in your teacher subscription.
Q: What should I do if I still have questions?
A: Contact Knowledgehook Support for help with your subscription, class upgrades, or ClassOS Pro code.
