Using Knowledgehook with Short Learning Cycles

Goal: Improve math achievement across the entire school by involving principals and teachers.

Process Overview:

1. Principal Leadership:
   1. Principals lead and support teachers.
   2. Use the School Dashboard to track and discuss progress.
      
      
      
2. Three Steps Over 4-6 Weeks:
   1. Identify Focus Areas:
      • Look at the data on the School Dashboard.
      • Choose key areas that need improvement.
      • Create a short test (pre-assessment) to see where students are struggling.
   2. Plan and Act:
      • Review test results to find gaps in knowledge.
      • Use available resources to support teaching.
      • Provide extra help (interventions) to students.
   3. Evaluate and Reflect:
      • Test students again (post-assessment) to see improvements.
      • Discuss what worked and what didn’t.
      • Plan the next cycle of improvements.

Outcome:

• Encourages teamwork and effective teaching strategies.
• Uses data to make informed decisions.
• Helps improve student learning in math.
