A Guide for New Educators
With Knowledgehook, you’ve got an awesome platform at your fingertips to boost your math teaching and make learning more fun for your students.
Here’s a quick guide to help you dive right in!
Step 1: Activate Your Account
- Sign Up: Go to Knowledgehook and “Sign Up” using your district-provided email address.
- Follow the Prompts: Click on Teacher/Admin and enter your information.
- Choose Your School: Start typing your school name. Choose your school from the dropdown list of schools. Check to make sure it is also in the correct district.
Step 2: Set Up Your Classes
- Create Your First Class: Follow the prompts to name your first class, choose your language, and select the grade level you are teaching.

Add Classes: Navigate to the "Classes" tab and click "Create Class."
Follow the directions to enter your class details and save. - Invite Students: Use the provided class code to invite your students to join, or add them yourself.
Step 3: Explore Missions
- Understand Missions: Missions are individual, curriculum-aligned activities that can be differentiated and provide insight into student understanding.
- Assign Missions: Go to the "Activities" tab, browse available topics, and assign the activity as a Mission to your class. Click the “Lightbulbs” for access to the Teacher Support Resources.
- Monitor Progress: Use the “Reports” dashboard to track student progress and identify areas for improvement. Click the “Lightbulbs” for access to the Teacher Resource Documents.
Step 4: Engage with the Support Resources
- Explore the “Lightbulbs”: Click on a “lightbulb” to access the Teacher Support Resources inside Knowledgehook, including Math Background, Misconception Chart and Intervention Questions.
- Attend Webinars: Join live and recorded webinars offered through the year to learn best practices and advanced features.
