Your child's safety and privacy is of our utmost concern here at Knowledgehook. Here are the answers to common questions about the privacy and confidentiality of our Small Group Classes.
How do you ensure the safety and confidentiality in your live online Small Group Classes?
At Knowledgehook, our students' safety is our top priority. Steps taken include:
-
- All classes will have a waiting room in which instructors must admit participants.
- It is recommended that parents/guardians change their screen name such that only the first name of their child will be displayed in the Zoom class. You may update your screen name on Zoom by following the instructions at Customizing Your Profile (Zoom Support).
- We ask that children turn their cameras and microphones on at the start of the session so that instructors can verify each student enrolled with the sign up list.
- Classes are recorded for security purposes.
If you have any concerns regarding our privacy policy, please visit our Privacy Center.
Are classes recorded?
Knowledgehook’s small group classes are recorded and saved for security and confidentiality purposes only. Class recordings are not shared with anyone outside of the Knowledgehook team to ensure your children's privacy is maintained.
Why do I keep seeing a consent form pop up before scheduling a Small Group Class?
As per our policy agreement, a parent/guardian needs to ‘Accept’ the consent form prior to registering each child in a Small Group Class. This consent form is issued once per child and ensures that you are aware of and agree to the recording of all future class sessions in which you register your child/children.
Can I sit with my child during the class?
For the first class your child is registered in, we encourage the parent/guardian to sit with the child in case they need help opening up a separate tab to access the Knowledgehook interactive tools.
